Q: Is CoreIMS© Scalable?
A: CoreIMS© Inventory runs on the most the world’s most popular database, Microsoft’s SQL Server 2005. So as the number of your records grows and the complexity of your business increases, your only constraint will be the limitations of the MS SQL database. In short, it’s unlikely that you’ll outgrow the system because you have to handle too much data!
Q: Can CoreIMS© scan bar codes?
A: Yes. CoreIMS© can scan bar codes in various standard formats. CoreIMS© is integrated with Radio Frequency (RF) and Batch bar code scanners.
Q: Can CoreIMS© print bar codes?
A: Yes. CoreIMS© can prints bar codes in all standard formats. CoreIMS© uses Seagull Bartender to help you design and print barcodes.
Q: Can CoreIMS© work with RFID?
A: Yes. CoreIMS© can scan and print RFID tags in various standard formats. CoreIMS© is integrated with Radio Frequency (RF) RFID printers.
Q: I don’t want to manage multiple suppliers. Can you provide my business with a turn-key solution?
A: Yes, we can supply you with all the necessary software, hardware, installation and training to get you warehouse up and running quickly.
Q: How many people can use CoreIMS©?
A: CoreIMS© is available in 5,10, 15 and 25 concurrent user licenses. These licenses allow 5, 10, 15, 25 users to use the application simultaneously.
Q: How secure is CoreIMS©?
A: CoreIMS© Client will be running on your local desktop but all authentication information is stored on the Server. We use encryption to protect your information.
Q: Can I integrate CoreIMS© with my accounting software?
A: Yes you can! There are multiple choices available to you:
QuickBooks. No problem. Just click the synch button in CoreIMS© and all your data will be synchronized. CoreIMS© also has auto-sync mode.
MAS 90/200. No problem. Just click the synch button in CoreIMS© and all your data will be synchronized.
NetSuite. No problem. Just click the synch button in CoreIMS© and all your data will be synchronized.
We can custom build a synchronization for your particular accounting package quickly and cost effectively. This will allow you to keep your accounting package active and current without actually having to migrate to a new system.
Q: What databases does CoreIMS© support?
A: CoreIMS© requires Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or Microsoft SQL 2005 Express Edition.
Q: Is CoreIMS© Inventory ODBC compliant?
A: The MS SQL database is ODBC compliant and therefore can be connected to other ODBC compliant programs, such as Crystal Reports.
Q: Can I run CoreIMS© without having to integrate it with accounting software?
A: Yes. You can run CoreIMS© Inventory as a standalone product.
Q: What versions of QuickBooks does CoreIMS© Inventory integrate with?
A: CoreIMS© Inventory integrates with QuickBooks 2005 (or later) Pro, Premier and Premier Accountant editions as well as QuickBooks Enterprise Edition. It does NOT integrate with QuickBooks basic.
Q: What is an upgrade?
A: An upgrade is an enhancement to an existing installation of CoreIMS©. Upgrades usually bundle both improved features and bug fixes.
Q: Do I need any special computer equipment or software to run CoreIMS©?
A: We support all standard Windows operating systems from Windows XP through 2003. Please refer to our System Requirements page.
Q: I’m using QuickBooks and I am facing limitations in the number of items it will handle. Does CoreIMS© have any such limitations?
A: QuickBooks handle a maximum of 14,400 items. QuickBooks Enterprise doubles that amount. CoreIMS© has no limit to the amount of inventory items it can manage.

Receiving
"Due Date" for Receiving Order - Having a due date on receiving orders allows ‘at-a-glance’ overdue shipment status and reporting. It also allows us to provide "Projected-on-hand" report based on this date.
Receiving date tracking for FIFO picking support -Now item received date is tracked to further support FIFO requirements during picking operations!
Additional security permission to perform actual receiving and order modification - we separated rights to enter/modify receiving order information and perform receiving itself. Now original order information is protected from "occasional" changes by receiver without proper security permissions.
Receiving stock in status other than Available -Receive stock directly to ‘On Hold’ or other custom status in order to prevent allocation or shipping against those items.
Shipping
Stock picking sequences support: FIFO, FEFO, and Preferred Location - During order picking, stock is shown in sequence to support your FIFO/FEFO requirements.
Single click allocate/unallocated entire Shipping Order - With one click, you can allocate or unallocated an entire order, no longer do you need to allocate or un-allocate one line at a time!

Transfer

Filter lines by Pallet/Container during Receive Transfer - Upon receiving a transfer, find all lines on a specific Pallet/Container for receiving together.

Inventory Management
Adjust stock quantity incrementally (+2 or -3) instead of having to recalculate totals - Enter the quantity you are adjusting and CoreIMS will calculate totals, no need to calculate before adjusting!
Enter adjustment reason codes for auditing purposes - When you make adjustments, reason codes can now be tracked in history, providing instant adjustment justification on the screen.
Projected Item Replenishment Report using scheduled receipts/shipments - CoreIMS will tell you what items need to be ordered based upon existing scheduled receipts and shipments!

The following new features have been added to an already feature
rich program:
Stock Allocation
Now you can allocate stock against a sales
order rendering it unavailable for shipment against any other
sales order. After the allocation user can print/re-print pick
list; allocated stocks are shown on RF terminals for picking.
2-Step Shipping from RF
Separate Pick and Ship operations are
available on RF now. If allocation was performed in desktop
application, RF-user will see Allocated stock(s) as a first
picking option.
Unlimited Number of Custom
Fields Now you can add as many custom
fields as you need to work with stock, receipts and Bills Of
Lading. Also user can select type of the input control for
custom fields as Text, Date or Drop-Down List.
More convinient Receiving and Shipping processing
Additional Memo fields for shipping and Receiving instructions are capable
of storing any text volume. Check the box in ‘Assign To All’
dialog and receive/ship entire order in one click. User can
specify common stock attributes for all stocks to be
shipped/received as well. Ship an entire Pallet or Container
with a single click.
Advanced interaction with QuickBooks 2005
CoreIMSQB 3.4 uses new QuickBooks SDK 4.0 feature to link exported Bills to original
POs in QuickBooks. It is now possible to run CoreIMS© -
QuickBooks data interchange in automatic mode: setup rules and
frequency for import of PO and SO and export of Bill and
Invoices.
