CoreIMS Government Edition
Portable Distribution Workplace (PDW) is designed for issuing Items to
individuals (soldiers) and/or units based on predefined Templates. All
issue operation are done using mobile devices including but not limited:
Entering individual ID (Scanning CAC Cards)
Issue Items (Scanning NSN barcodes)
Print Issue Documents
Mobile computers used in PDW are Pocket PC based similar to Dolphin
9500/9550 (Pocket PC Device, with imager for Linear Barcode and 2D
Barcode scanner for CAC Card with PDF 417 condensed barcode).
1.1 CoreIMS PDW Product Features
Portable Distribution Workplace is an additional Module for CoreIMS
designed for issuing Items to individuals (soldiers) or units based on
predefined Templates. All issue operation are done using mobile devices
including but not limited:

Issue Items (Scanning NSN barcodes)
Printing Issue Document

CoreIMS Portable Distribution Workplace Module also should be equipped
with desktop/laptop PCs for creating Templates, Data Transfers between
Site (CoreConnect) and Archiving operation.
CoreConnect enables sending Issue Orders to 'Archive' and archived
orders between sites. CoreConnect enables importing data from one
'Archive' to another over network.
Archive Viewer provides functionality of viewing orders, which were
shipped at other sites
1.2 CoreIMS PDW Modules and Functionality
CoreIMS PDW Mobile features:
Create personal records based on scanned CAC Card or SSN and keep this records updated through the issue process
Issue personal or unit items based on predefined Template. Control nomenclature and quantity of authorized items
Identify individual by scanning CAC card
Prevent multiple issues: when CAC Card scanned the system restores information about previous issues from current database and archive
Generate issue document based on selected Template for UIC CAC Card holder belongs to
Perform physical count of remaining items
Print issue documents
CoreConnect features:
Send issue results to Central Site (to 'Central Archive') using XML file
Receive XML file with issue results and overwrites existing archived records with updated information
Transfer 'Archive' between databases
CoreIMS PDW Desktop features:
Maintain list of UIC and issue templates by UIC
View/correct physical count results and generate discrepancy reports
Apply physical count of items results to inventory
"Close site": generate shipping order for all remaining items to central site and clear inventory
Print issue documents and due-out reports by UIC
